Rescue:

From his rescuer: Zeke was first noticed eating bird seed on our deck a few weeks before.
We started feeding him and found that he was absolutely starving. We started giving him dry
cat food twice a day, offered him warmed up milk (which he quickly lapped up) and he ate
everything. His favourite treat was ham and whenever we offered our two indoor cats the
same treat, we would put some out for Zeke and it was quickly gone. As far as we could
figure out this handsome orange boy lived under our deck to stay out of the cold weather.
One warm day Zeke came out and sunned himself on our trailer hitch. We had some heavy
snow coming with a storm warning, so we used a humane trap to rescue him. It was Family
Day and we brought him to Pet Patrol’s sanctuary for his first real chance of a forever home
out of the elements

Personality:

Zeke has turned out to be a lovely cat. Although quite timid in the beginning we could see that
he was gentle and have a nice personality hidden under some fear and caution. With time
and patience, in his foster home, he has blossomed into a friendly and affectionate boy. He is
super cuddly and playful, and it has been a joy watching him explore new things and have his
curiousity guide him to new toys and adventures. He has become quite bonded to his new
caregivers which tells us that he is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will
welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
