Rescue:

Pet Patrol has been in business for 25 years and around the first year of our charitable work of
rescuing cats we became aware of a local farm. When the couple moved out there they knew
there were nine or ten cats living in the barn. But soon they discovered, because they started
feeding them, that they were more like fifty. We were asked if we could help with the kittens
and to spay and neuter the adults. With the help of other rescue organizations we were able to
get this colony of cats under control. All were fixed, those that were friendly were adopted into
homes, and the ferals remained on the farm They were fed daily and cared for. Fast forward
and we heard from the farmer again. His colony is now at about 15 cats, all fixed, but always
there is a stray female who is wandering and looking for a place to have her litter of kittens. He
has found homes for most of them except for Tailor. He is such a sweet cat and very loving
and came in to Pet Patrol care to be adopted.

Personality:

Tailor is such a fun cat to have around. Though he is not yet a lap cat he likes to be pet and
have his belly rubbed. He walks by your feet and sometimes swats at your leg for attention. A
few ear scratches and back rubs and he is happily on his way again. While being pet Tailor
often lies down and offers his belly for free rubs, smiling and purring the whole time. He is a
playful cat and really enjoys chasing after anything that bounces, rolls or crinkles. Catnip mice
are the favourite. He is good with other cats and it has been fun watching him integrate into
the sanctuary. Tailor is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him
into the family and keep him safely indoors.
