ADOPTION PROFILE

Archie

Archie

Archie

Rescue:

Pet Patrol received a call from a young woman and her fiancé, who live in a small tourist
town. It’s not unusual to see a stray cat occasionally, and rescue organizations in the area
help the community with having the cats spayed and neutered. Archie caught their eye as
he would peek into the sliding doors and kitchen windows of people in this neighborhood.
He was a very gentle and kind cat although aloof. One day they noticed that his left eye
was larger than the other. As time went on it got bigger and bigger, and you could see he
was uncomfortable. Finally, the young woman and her fiancé decided to rescue him. They
borrowed a humane trap from Pet Patrol and soon he was brought into our care. His vet
examination showed that he had severe glaucoma and the eye had to be removed, terrible
teeth (they all were removed except for his fangs) and he was neutered. After all those
surgeries he has done very well and recovered without issue.

Personality:

There is no doubt that Archie enjoys living indoors. He will stretch out on the windowsill
looking at the world outside, completely content. He will no longer have wet/cold paws,
endure snow, rain or blistering sun looking for food and shelter. He is safe, warm, comfortable,
and well fed. He is much loved by the volunteers at the sanctuary and Archie is now
ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and
keep him safely indoors
