Rescue:

Poor Timothy. His start to life has been rough. A woman called a smaller cat rescue and
asked for help. She said that she had found a couple of kittens at her brother’s farm and
thought that they should be brought indoors. It was a dairy farm, and although there are
animals in the barn that produce heat, they are very large and kittens, being very small, can
be stepped on easily. As well it is far too cold for kittens to be outside in the winter and
their opportunity to survive is severely reduced. They were brought in and seemed just fine,
except for Timothy. He had a damaged eye and she could not afford to have him looked
after. It is not uncommon for cats to develop eye infections in barns because of the dust
and dirt affecting them. As well straw is very stiff and sharp and often when kittens are
born in the hay loft, can cause eye injuries that result in severe damage. The smaller rescue
could not afford to have the surgery done to remove the damaged eye and reached out to
Pet Patrol.

Personality:

Timothy is a dear little cat. He doesn’t know that he is any different than any of the other
kittens that he plays with. He adapted very well to having the eye removed because he had
not had vision in that eye for a very long time. He is a fun loving and affectionate little cat,
likes to play and chase after anything that wiggles and bounces. Like all cats he can’t resist
a cardboard box, likes the kitty climber and the world outside is like kitty TV. He is happy to
be indoors and loving life. Timothy is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that
will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
