Rescue:

A couple who had adopted a kitty from us a number of years ago had noticed a cat in their
back yard. They live in suburbia and from their back deck look onto the conservation area.
It is not uncommon for critters like raccoons, possum and squirrels to trot through her yard
seeking food, but rarely do they see cats. The next day she saw him again, and put food
out. He was ravenous and devoured everything. She was able to pet him, and from there
put him in a carrier. She took him to the local city shelter and they scanned him for a microchip,
there was none and they had no room so she returned home. She called Pet Patrol to
see if we could take him in and within a few hours he was in our care. Still ravenous, the
food was put out plentifully and Romeo settled in . He slept and ate for three days recovering
from his ordeal of being outside, homeless and alone.

Personality:

Romeo is a sweet and gentle boy who has come a long way from his timid and fearful
days. He enjoys the presence of people and will greet you with soft meows, looking for
head scratches, before heading to a cozy corner for a casual day. He plays with his springy
toys and balls with bells with the innocence of a kitten. Romeo prefers a quiet home without
children where he can take it easy until it’s time to play. He has found a comfy spot in every
room of the house for prime napping. He is learning to join you on the couch but prefers to
be the first one there and then will let you sit. Romeo is ready to be adopted into his forever
home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep
him safely indoors.
