Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a call from a person who has rescued cats in the past from her community.
One family had a number of animals in their house; cats, dogs and kittens and were
seeking help to reduce their numbers. The animals had reproduced freely in their home
because they were unable to afford to get them any type of veterinary care, especially
spaying or neutering. Some of the family members were hesitant to release the cats to new
people if they didn’t know them. However, if you cannot look after one or two pets because
of finances then looking after 20 or more is extremely difficult. Luckily Pet Patrol was contacted
and we were able to take in five little kittens, all their names starting with the letter A,
and hopefully more will follow. When they first arrived at the sanctuary they were extremely
hungry, and very thirsty. One was emaciated, another had a cold and eye infections. Now
all five kittens, including Adonis, are happy and healthy and ready to be adopted.
Personality:
Adonis and his siblings are very loving and affectionate cats. They were picked up, carried,
cradled and cuddled in their previous home, which is wonderful. This ensures that they are
family friendly and will be easy to blend into a new home. They love to run and play, chase
and pounce. Toys are the best thing ever, ones that dangle, bounce or crinkle are fair
game, and the kitty tunnel was a big hit. Adonis is a wonderful little cat who will fit into any
loving home. He is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him
into the family and keep him safely indoors.
