Rescue:
Elsie came from a rundown farm property. Maintenance on this remote cluster of buildings
was limited and there were cats everywhere. One of our volunteers heard that they were in
need of help and when she arrived to start rescuing some of the cats (as the farmer was
trying to gain control of the property), she was quite stunned by the number that were there.
She started off by bringing in Elsie and her siblings, all from one litter, four calicoes and two
orange and white. They were all frightened because they had not been handled right from
being born and so people were still rather scary to them. The farmer was happy to see the
kittens go to a cat rescue organization where they would be spayed or neutered, socialized
and new homes found for them. Otherwise, they may have gone to another farm where
they would continue to breed and live in fear. Pet Patrol was happy to have these lovely
kittens come into our care.
Personality:
Elsie is the most outgoing kitten of her litter and is quite a snuggly, floppy cat. She will let
you pick her up and carry her everywhere and would be great with children. She is a super
relaxed cat and has taken to living in a family home without a hitch. A lovely little kitten who
likes to explore and find toys to play with. She is active with her siblings and also plays
independently or with her people. Elsie is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One
that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
