Rescue:
A woman contacted Pet Patrol about her parent’s cat Rocky. He is a petite Himalayan who
has led a quiet life with a retired couple, who have now both passed away unfortunately,
leaving him homeless. The couple’s son and wife are concerned for his welfare and unable
to keep him themselves (busy house, other pets) and reached out to Pet Patrol to help.
When a parent passes away there are a lot of things to attend to beyond the grief and
funeral arrangements. Personal items have to be divided up or donated, paperwork to sort
through and a home to be prepared for sale. During this Rocky has had company from
family members and cleaning people coming in and out of the house, but at night he is all
alone. It is time for him to find a new family that will also adore him.
Personality:
Rocky is a quiet cat who rarely meows and would follow his people around and lay on the
couch beside them. He is a very clean kitty, always grooming himself and liking to be
brushed out. He was fed on a low table as his elderly owner could not bend over to far,
but he will adjust to having his food on the floor again. Rocky loves to sit in the window
being the neighbourhood watch cat, and at night would sleep on his owner’s bed. Now
retired himself, he gently plays with a wand toy and would probably like a nice catnip
mouse. Hopefully there is a kind soul who would love to care for Rocky. He is ready to be
adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him
safely indoors.
