Rescue:

As told by her rescuer: One day in the early fall I came outside and out of the corner of my
eye I saw a white blur skittering under my deck. I have a feeding station set up for stray
cats in a covered hut where fresh food and water is put out daily. I also have an insulated
shelter out there for them to go into. It is lined with straw and thick Styrofoam to keep it
warm. After that I saw her on a daily basis but she was always very shy and would run and
hide. I have an outdoor enclosure for my indoor cats and she started coming up to them
and being social. One very cold night, about midnight after several failed attempts to recue
her, I set the trap up beside the patio door. She had been looking inside at my cats so I
thought this location might work, and it did. She went into the humane trap and was brought
inside to warmth and comfort. After just one day I was able to pet her and it appears that
at one time she was probably someone’s cat. Community notices were put out, but no one
came forward to claim her. After a few weeks of advertising she came into Pet Patrol care

Personality:

Whitney is a cutey and she loves other cats. They are her best friends. She can still be a bit
unsure about humans but within a few days of coming into a new environment, and with lots
of love, she adjusts well. She will sit beside you and the nicest thing is she will sleep on the
bed with you. She is an affectionate cat and loves her back scratched and she purrs with
contentment. She is not sure what toys are and at this point is more interested in the other
cats, but in intrigued by them. Whitney is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One
that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors
