Rescue:

Twinkie was rescued from living a dreary life on the street. She was being fed by a nice
couple since last fall after her mother and siblings had been rescued and brought to Pet
Patrol in October. The cats were all friendly and easily socialized and have long since gone
to their forever homes. But Twinkie was always rather elusive and it took a long time to gain
her trust. Her home was where she was born; underneath a set of steps at a large feed mill.
There was a small hole that led under the building where the cats found shelter but it was
impossible to reach in and rescue them. Overtime the couple who fed her, socialized her
and she trusted them. When the day came for her rescue, they easily picked her up and
popped her in the carrier, then she ws on her way to Pet Patrol and a new life

Personality:

Twinkie has endured more than the average cat should, but she had shown us her friendly
and affectionate side and how very grateful she is. She is a lovely cat who took to the soft
beds and plenty of good food and fresh water. Petting was such a luxury for her and she
purrs deeply to show happiness and contentment. Toys are a mystery to her as she has
never had any that jingle, rattle or crinkle, and the laser pen light is such a mysterious thing.
Twinkie is cuddly and affectionate. Although she does not know much about sitting on laps
yet she will learn quickly. She is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will
welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors
