Rescue:

Bishop was found in a residential neighbourhood; he was easy to spot with his black fur
against the bright white snow. He was taking advantage of food and water that were
placed in a garage for another cat. The family that lives there had noticed a young grey
kitten and a black cat, roaming the street and passing their home frequently. They could
never get close enough to Bishop because he would immediately scoot away, and closing
the garage door quickly didn`t work. They set up a humane trap and within days rescued
the little cat first and then Bishop, assuming he was the buddy cat to the kitten. We were
quite happy and surprised that this big boy turned out to be very friendly and very appreciative
of being brought indoors. Soon he was neutered and vaccinated, accepting of pets
and chin scratches, as well as showing his pleasure with loud purrs.

Personality:

Bishop is a tall, long and very handsome cat. He is a big boy. He has settled in nicely at
the sanctuary and will make a lovely furry family member for someone. Quite content to sit
in the window and watch the world outside, he does not miss trudging through the snow,
walking on ice or enduring bitterly cold temperatures to get to food. Life on the street is
really hard. Bishop is quite happy to be indoors now, liking the temperature control and
fresh water and food available at all times. He is a very social cat, affectionate and receptive
to pets, chin scratches and brushing. This beautiful cat is ready to be adopted into his
forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors
