ADOPTION PROFILE

Mikaela

Mikaela

Mikaela

Rescue:

Pet Patrol works with smaller cat rescue organizations sometimes by taking in cats and
kittens to help find homes for them. They are located beyond the city limits and cater to
rural properties and have a high intake of cats, but the adoptions are not as frequent and
they often are at capacity. This is where Mikaela and Madison came from. Their lives
started on a farm where there were a lot of cats and the breeding was not controlled. The
owners of the property reached out to this rescue, who then reached out to Pet Patrol to
take in these two girls. Frightened and unsure of people, as they had not been handled
before, they have come a long way in their socializing with their foster mom.

Personality:

Mikaela and her sister Madison are quite bonded to each other, even though their
personalities are so different. Mikaela is the braver of the two and is quite outgoing and
playful. She loves the laser pen light, exploring anything new and, of course, catnip mice.
She can be found snoozing in the kitty house on the cat tree and curling up with Madison at
every chance. She is more independent and an explorer, a bit timid around new people but
once she gets used to them she is very affectionate. Madison is a little more reserved,
observing people before approaching but likes to cuddle up beside her foster mom on the
couch. She is playful and participates in the cat version of the Indy 500 with her sister,
racing around the house for fun and exercise. Both girls get along with the passive family
dog. Mikaela will help Madison to develop her confidence and they would do well together
in their new home. They are ready to be adopted into their forever home. One that
will welcome them into the family and keep them safely indoors..
