Dijon

Rescue:

Dijon is a wonderful handsome boy who came to us looking very sad and uncertain. But it
became apparent very quickly, as soon as we touched his head, that he was friendly and
affectionate. What a wonderful boy. He had been found on a farm where people live the
traditional way, farming is their livelihood, and their mode of transportation is horse and
buggy. Controlling the overpopulation of cats on the property is not a priority. Dijon is just
one of the many cats that were born there over the last year. This fall their neighbour
started setting out food and the cats came to his yard to be fed. He gained their trust and
they become comfortable and enjoy being pet. Having a full belly every day makes a difference
in their personality, confidence and health. Dijon is a good example of that. One day he
was just picked up and put into a cat carrier and brought to Pet Patrol sanctuary.

Personality:

When Duchess first came into Pet Patrol care she was very uncertain of her new surroundings.
She had never been anywhere that did not have cold cement floors, straw and manure.
She took quickly to the soft beds and generous food, eating daintily and stretching out in the
climate controlled kitty room. She is an adorable cat, sweet natured and gentle. It has
been interesting to watch her explore rooms, windows and meet the other cats. Toys were
quite a mystery for her, and she soon caught onto the fun side of things. Duchess is ready
to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep
her safely indoors.
