Rescue:

A co-worker of one of Pet Patrol’s volunteers called to see if we could take in another kitten
from her. She and her husband owned a farm and they had at least 25 cats that were all
black and white. One day she heard a tiny kitten crying, and had to look around for a bit
before she found him. When she did, she was quite surprised. He was orange! “Where did
you come from!?” She looked around for the mother cat, trying to see a feline of a different
colour than black or find the nest with other kittens in it, but she saw nothing out of place.
She sat back for the longest time, watching to see if a mother cat would come out and
retrieve the baby, but she never did . Perhaps she was moving the kitten from one place to
the other, became startled and dropped him. Soon he was on his way to Pet Patrol, but
now we needed to find a surrogate mother cat for him. After trying two other nursing moms
at the sanctuary, he was sent to a foster home to be with Indy. Her kittens were still tiny
enough that they would not push him away at feeding time. Now named Valiant he has thrived
in our care and is now ready to be adopted.

Personality:

Right from the moment he arrived at Pet Patrol’s sanctuary, we knew that Valiant was a
fighter and a survivor. He has always been very social, fearless and has developed into a
very confident kitten, who likes to be in the center of everything. He is playful, fun loving,
carefree and energetic. Anything becomes a toy, any room needs to be investigated and
any new person coming into the house is charmed by him. Valiant has proven to be good
with friendly dogs, and children as well. He is a wonderful boy who is ready to be adopted
into his new home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
