Rescue:
Kimiko”s momma, Woode, and her four kittens were part of yet another rural rescue. Once help
is provided to have cats spayed or neutered to control the overpopulation on a property, it
doesn’t take long for neighbours to talk and share the information. A neighbour came over
during a rescue mission and was inquiring what the process was. She was feeding a little
stray female that had had a number of litters and she was wanting to do the right thing by
having this cat spayed. She was willing to let the cat continue to live there but she would be
living in her garage. When this kitty was taken into the vet clinic to be spayed she had a cold,
which is common in cats when living outside. Surgery could not be done. The woman took
her back, provided the cat with medication and she recovered beautifully, but unfortunately
the woman also allowed the cat to come and go as she pleased, and yes…another litter was
born. Woode and her kittens were all brought into Pet Patrol care, spayed and are now ready for
their forever homes.
Personality:
Kimiko is adventurous and likes to climb. A better view makes it easier to find toys! Anything
from crumpled paper balls to balls on tracks, mice, and everything in between. If you
have a favourite chair, that’s Kimiko’s favourite chair, especially when you leave it cozy and
warm. Her favourite napping spots are: your chair, your foot, your lap. She is a dear little
cat and ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the
family and keep her safely indoors.
