Rescue:
Here is Storm’s story told by her rescuer: I was contacted by a woman that lived on a country
property. She had a few females and some kittens and she asked me if I would be able
to help her with getting her females to the vet clinic to be spayed. She realized that things
were getting out of control. It started off innocently enough, a couple of cats in the barn or
a few strays showed up, but now she had nine kittens and six adults. Knowing that there is
a low cost spay neuter clinic in the city I agreed to help out and transported them for their
surgical appointments. I contacted Pet Patrol about taking in the kittens, and four went to
the sanctuary. In the meantime the woman had put the word out and adopted out the other
five and the remaining adults have been altered as well. The woman was very good to the
cats, fed them daily, provided shelter and was genuinely concerned for their welfare. Little
Storm and her siblings, Simeon, Saffire, Stella and Star have thrived in Pet Patrol care and
are very happy to be indoors.
Personality:
Little Storm is quite a cuddly cat who has a wonderful purr letting you know how happy and
content she is. She is a curious little kitten who likes to explore and check out just about
everything. Cupboards, new rooms and especially the toys, oh the toys! Nothing goes
without being tested out, chased after or pounced on. She is good with her siblings but
often will be found watching them, or hanging out with her people. A bit of a loner at times.
She has been living with older children and the family dog, although she is a bit wary of him.
Storm is a sweet kitten and likes nothing more than a person to flop on, curl up beside or
snooze behind your head on the back of the couch. She is a dear little cat ready to be
adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her
safely indoors.
