Rescue:
Louis was found as a feral kitten in a large cat colony up north. This was on a rural property
and the woman who owns the small hobby farm fed the cats daily and provided shelter for
them. As the colony grew, she would bring the kittens into the house, socialize them and try
to find them homes. She lived alone and has other cats in her house as well as outside.
She fell in love with this little guy and decided to keep him, but when she brought him into
the house, he was not social and not accepted by the other cats. She continued to work
with him, helping him develop into a loving and affectionate boy. As much as she wanted to
keep him she just could not keep all the cats. It was getting to the point where she reached
out to a cat rescue organization to help her place some of the cats. From there Louis came
to Pet Patrol. The woman was very sad to see him go, and was crying at the door as he
left the house. He was dearly loved, and it shows.
Personality:
From his rescuer: Such a handsome and lovely cat, Louis is always in my arms or on my
lap. He gives kisses on your nose and will gently reach up and pet your face. He is pretty
good with high 5’s as well. He is quite responsive to commands such as sit, stay and down
which is remarkable for a cat. He is a very, very, special cat. His favorite treat is a
Popsicle. Louise is a wonderful boy and deserving of a good home. One that will welcome
him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
