Rescue:

Merlina and Mercury’s mother Mika and another kitty came in to Pet Patrol after a very sad
situation. They were both adopted off of an Internet buy and sell site as tiny kittens. This
site has kittens and cats for free and can be given away to anyone. Unfortunately advertised
as unwanted cats, Mika was brought into a home when she was just eight weeks old and
the other one was only five weeks old. Too young to be taken away from Mommy. Their
owner loved them, and cared for them and was respectful, but unfortunately passed away
suddenly and the family was unable to care for the cats. It was a struggle for them to cope
with the loss of their son and brother and to sort through his home to have it ready for sale.
Mika was heavily pregnant at the time and within a few weeks had a litter of five kittens,
Merlina and Mercury being two of them. They are now all weaned and adopted into their
forever homes. The house mate kitty that lived with Mika has also been adopted.

Personality:

Merlina and Mercury are cute little kittens who is very playful and happy go lucky. They like
to play with toys that dangle, like on the wand toy. The laser pen light, paper bags and
cardboard boxes are all great fun. They are unsure of coming to the sanctuary after they
had lived their whole life in this foster home, but they quickly adjusted. It was a pretty quiet
home, so they had a lot to learn about but are now good with being picked up and have
excelled with purring and kneading. Merlina and Mercury are ready to be adopted into thier
forever home. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them safely indoors.
