Asheby

Rescue:

Pet Patrol received a phone call from a smaller cat rescue organization. They have been
working with a woman over the last couple of years in regard to abandoned cats showing
up on her farm property. She really didn’t want a lot of cats and knowing that if they weren’t
fixed, they would breed uncontrollably, so she reached out. But the smaller rescue was not
able to take in the four cats that the woman wanted to release custody of right away. Her
farm was fairly sizable, there are cattle in the barn and a number of chickens. The kittens
she said just showed up one day. They were quite small, and she had no idea where they
came from. A mother cat was never seen and could have gone unseen in the vast hayloft.
Did someone dump them in the barn or were they born there? She raised the kittens
and they became quite friendly and affectionate. In the morning they would run up to the
house to be fed and dance around her feet. They are good with her lab dog and chasing
down dried leaves as they danced across the driveway. This is the rescue story for Aladdin,
Alfalfa, Aubrey and Asheby. They are now happily living indoors in their foster homes and
ready for adoption

Personality:

Asheby is content to be pet and receive love and attention for anyone. When he first
arrived at his foster home, he was a bit wary but that changed quickly once he was comfortable
and got to know his foster mom. He looked to his brother Alladin for reassurance
and together they investigated the house. So far Asheby has not shown his lap cat side,
but he has only been there a short time. He plays with all toys and loves his brother, seeking
him out for a close cuddle at nap time, sharing the food dish and grooming each other.
They are adorable. Both Asheby and Alladin are ready to be adopted into their forever
home together. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them safely indoors.
