Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a call from a family who lived in the city. They had noticed there were
four kittens underneath their back deck. they could see the mother out in the field behind
their home, hunting. At first they were unsure if they were related, because she is a calico
cat and the kittens are all black, but yes, her kittens can be of any colour in her coat. The
next day they noticed that there were only two kittens left and the cat was now in the field
crying. Being close to the bush, it would not be uncommon for wild life to come into
backyards in the middle of the night in search of food. That includes anything they can find.
Liwana and Libby were the lucky ones to survive and were brought into Pet Patrol care. They are
lovely sweet and gentle kittens and have done very well. The family served them well by cuddling
them, and getting them used to people touching them. We are in the process of trying
to rescue the mom
Personality:
Liwana is very outgoing and adventurous. She will check out everything that is new, every
room, cupboard and box. She takes great delight in seeing what you are doing and where
you are going. She is chatty at times and will let you know what she wants. Libby is a very
sweet little kitten who follows her sisters’ lead. She will pay attention to where Liwana is
going, and what she is checking out, then go see for herself. They both love to be close to
you and will purr happily until they fall asleep. Definitely lap cats who love the cuddles.
Both are playful and active, chasing after balls with bells, plastic springs and little toy mice.
Liwana and Libby are ready to be adopted into their forever home. One that will welcome
them both into the family and keep them safely indoors.
