Rescue:

A woman left a message on the Pet Patrol line sounding very desperate and worried. She
lives on a rural property, and when she came home from work one day she got out of her
car and saw a flash of fur run past her. Thinking it was her indoor/outdoor house cat she
started calling her, to come for her dinner. But the cat wouldn’t come which was odd. Then
she heard her cat crying, and in looking around finally located her up on the roof of the
house. The cat was meowing down at her in a very distressed way and the woman then
realized that the cat that had run past her, was new to the property. Obviously abandoned
this was Tucker and as nice as he is, her cat was feeling threatened. The owner rescued
him via humane trap and immediately took him to the local shelter to be checked for a microchip,
but the doors were locked. In calling their office they said they could no longer take
any pets in at this time, and suggested she contact a cat rescue organization. She found
herself outside in the heat with this poor cat in a trap in her backseat and felt she had nowhere
to go. She finally found Pet Patrol through the internet and was able to bring Tucker
the the sanctuary right away.

Personality:

Since coming to Pet Patrol he has enjoyed the good life with the other cats and kittens at
the sanctuary. Tucker is a lovely boy who is gentle and sweet natured, and can always be
found cuddled up to someone. He is a nice big boy who likes to be pet and played with. He
is still timid, but the caregivers that he knows best are able to pull him onto their lap and
cradle him like a baby. It will just take time for him to get used to a new environment when
adopted and then his true personality will shine. Tucker is ready to be adopted into a forever
home that is loving and patient. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him
safely indoors.
