Rescue:
Tilly is a cute little tuxedo cat who came from a neighbourhood close to an open farmer’s
field. Usually neighbours would see cats out there searching for food during the day, looking
for shade under shrubs and always seemed to be in need of water. One woman had taken
it upon herself to start feeding the cats, putting out fresh water and soon they took up shelter
under her deck. They were at least safer than out in the open. Not wanting the cats to
breed or endure the winter months, a humane trap was put in place and one kitten and the
mother were rescued the first morning and a few more since that day. No more cats had
been seen for a bit and then all of a sudden there was another kitten under her deck. This
was Tilly. She had a cold and was immediately rescued and brought into Pet Patrol care
Personality:
Initially frightened Tilly has completely changed and is now a sweet and lovable kitty. She
has made great strides in her socializing while in Pet Patrol care. She is bright and alert,
conscious of all things going on around her and interested in what is new. She is very sweet
and generous with her purrs, loves a good scratch behind the ears and back massage. Tilly
is very playful and has really enjoyed the toys, climbers and tunnels that are part of the play
room in the sanctuary. It has been delightful to watch her explore and try new toys out.
Tilly is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family
and keep her safely indoors
