Rescue:
As told by her rescuer: In the cool months near the beginning of the pandemic, we saw a
little, pale ginger kitten crying for his mom. He was swatting bees off the flowers in our
garden and we attempted to catch him, but he disappeared every time. For several months
we only caught glimpses of him darting away whenever he saw a human. Now being autumn,
he has been chasing falling leaves and basically anything else that moves. With a little
patience and some tasty treats, we finally won his affections and he started coming around
daily. When he realized he could trust us, he became super affectionate and there was not
problem picking him up and bringing him to Pet Patrol. That is when we realized that he
was a she. It was a good thing Piper was rescued when she was as she surely would have
become pregnant being outside and not spayed.
Personality:
As told by her rescuer: She loves to play! In the days since Piper has allowed us to touch her,
she has let it be known she wants to be pet. When you stop petting her, she will rub her
mouth on your hand and legs until she gets more scratches. She is adorable. Piper gets
along with other cats and wants to interact with them in a fun and affectionate way and has
won over the affection of the neighbour’s grumpy, old man cat. She is enjoying living indoors
and has no interest in dealing with the cold, rain and wind. She is a happy cat now. Piper is
ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and
keep her safely indoors
