Rescue:
Such a tiny kitten to be out in such a large landscape of buildings. Little Orillia was part of a
small colony of cats that lived at one of the universities in town. Luckily for the cats roaming
this property, at least one staff on the security force, for each shift, is involved with a cat
rescue organization. The cats are well looked after there. But there will always be a stray
cat that comes onto the property and has her kittens and this was the case of Orillia. Humane
traps are set up to entice the cats in safely, and then quickly take them to the rescue
groups who will take care of them. Vaccines are done, and their health is improved. Orillia
was very concerned about her environment when she first arrived but soon as she realized
that people were a good thing, she relaxed and purrs readily
Personality:
Orillia has beautiful silky fur, a pretty face and a sweet disposition. She is a quiet and gentle
kitty and seems happy on her own and is very attached to her brother Jacoba. She enjoys a
variety of small cat toys, sparkly ball, plastic spring, sponge ball and toys with a bit of feathery
detail. She purrs when picked up and petted. She is a quiet kitty and doesn’t meow
very often, but when she does we need to listen, she definitely is trying to get our attention.
Orillia is ready to be adopted into her forever home, with her brother Jacoba. One that will welcome her into the
family and keep her safely indoors.
