Rescue:

Pet Patrol took in four kittens all at once, that were from different areas, but have lived
together in their rescue/foster home as playmates. There were two little brown tabby boys,
an orange boy and a little gray girl – Lucy. Although their stories are fairly similar, they were
born in different locations and living outside. Our little Lucy was born in cottage country
where stray cats are fed, and sometimes the kittens are rescued and re homed. There was
a mother cat who would be seen running around every year and she had at least two litters
starting in the spring. This year, because of Covid, there weren’t too many people spending
weekends at their cottages therefore the kittens were growing up outside. Lucy approached
a couple who decided to quarantine at their summer home instead of staying in
the city. They could work remotely and one day saw this little cat on their deck. After some
coaxing with canned food, they were able to befriend her and bring her into safely. She
lived at another foster home until she was ready to come into Pet Patrol care

Personality:

Lucy is a very sweet kitten, who loves to be pet and receive attention. She was shy when
she first arrived but has done well while at the sanctuary and runs around with the other cats
and cuddles up to them too. She is curious and likes to adventure out to find out what is in
each room and what is there to play with. Lucy likes to watch everything going on around
her and never misses a thing. She enjoys laying in the sun on the cat tree, and will join in
playing and chase with the other cats. Her favorite thing in the world are treats and it has
helped her to be more social and discover that people are pretty ok. Lucy is ready to be
adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her
safely indoors.
