Rescue:
Where oh where did baby Leila come from? She was so desperately tiny, and in need of
help and she was crying her little eyes out. Finally she caught the attention of two boys who
were riding their bike along the country road. She must’ve been pretty loud for them to hear
her tiny voice. The boys started to search around after they stop their bikes to listen and
see which direction the mews were coming from. Finally they found her in the field, not far
off the road, in the long grass. She was very thin, wet, desperate and starving. She was
easy to pick up and tuck into the one boys jacket, and her ride to safety was warm and
toasty. Bringing her home to their mother she quickly realized that this kitten needed more
medical attention than what they were able to provide. She called a rescue organization who
referred her to Pet Patrol as we were able to help at that time. Leila is a wonderful and
sweet little kitten and so lucky to have been heard. There was no sign of any other kittens
or her mother anywhere.
Personality:
Now a happy go lucky and active kitten, Leila is ready to find her family. She has gained
weight nicely, adjusted to her cat food and has taken to playing with toys. They were quite
a mystery to her in the beginning, she just didn’t know how to interact with them, but is
ready to race after them at any time. Leila is easy to pick up and cuddle, she likes to be
with her people and will fall asleep on your lap. She has a
playmate now, and would be happy in a home with another gentle and playful kitty. Leila is
ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and
keep her safely indoors.
