Rescue:

A lady had messaged Pet Patrol and also left a phone message in regards to six kittens
living under her back deck. She was quite concerned for them and having a very difficult time
trying to rescue them. She was trying to hand catch them which can be quite risky as the
kittens could be frightened and bite, and also the whole experience can be terrifying for
them. Using a carrier baited with stinky canned food the kittens went in eagerly to eat. The
door was gently closed behind them and they were safe. The next door neighbor offered her basement spare bedroom for the kittens to live in until other
plans could be made. At least now they were inside and safe. Three appeared to be quite
shy and three were fairly friendly. A Pet Patrol volunteer went over to rescue the kittens but
having a stranger in their room was concerning. Gently and slowly she was able to rescue
them and provide them with safe transportation to the sanctuary.

Personality:

Henna is a pretty brown tabby with flecks of orange through her fur. She is as beautiful as
the temporary tattoos she is named for. With the softest fur and deepest purrs, you could
spend hours stroking her and giving her belly rubs. She’s a little bit shy, but will follow her
sister Hufflepuff’s lead in exploring the house and new toys. These sisters are a bonded pair
who cuddle and explore together. If they go in separate directions they will call out in a high
pitched meow looking for the other. Hufflepuff + Henna are the queens of cat naps! They
love to find a small place to cocoon and curl up together for their beauty rest. Once rested
you can find them chasing each other around the room and flipping over one another or
sitting by the window watching the birds go by. Henna is ready to be adopted into her
forever home with her sister. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them
safely indoors.
