Rescue:
Miley is a pretty calico mom who had been raised in a home but as sometimes happens,
especially with Covid, the family fell onto hard times. They are not able to afford vet care or
to have their cats fixed, and Miley became pregnant. Kittens were born and they kept one
or two because they just couldn’t part with them emotionally, but that just created a larger
colony again. This time she had four kittens, but for unknown reasons three of them did not
survive, and little Maico is the only kitten left. Although the cats are all friendly, have been
loved and cherished they were not able to keep them in their home any longer and Pet
Patrol was called. When Miley came in to Pet Patrol care her little boy was six weeks old,
very small for his age, but he has thrived in his foster home.
Personality:
Miley and Maico are inseparable. They are like two peas in a pod, always together, seeking
each other out and snuggling at bedtime and during afternoon naps. Mailey never tires of
her boy and enjoys playing with him, entertaining him by flipping her tail and will chase after
a bouncing ball or wiggling toy with him. Maico is a very sweet little boy. Gentle like his
mother, affectionate and loves his people equally. They are ready to be adopted into their
forever home together. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them safely
indoors.
