Rescue:
Dori is a kitten who was born in a chicken coop owned by a woman who lives kitty corner to
another farm property. Over the last five or ten years she has watched the cats from that property
migrate over to her property to have their kittens. Even though there were a lot of trailers,
dumpsters, skids piled up, etc. for a makeshift shelter, more often than not they were housed in
her chicken coop. The people living on the farm were not considerate of the cats at all and
really didn’t have any use for them. Eventually the woman took it upon herself to start spaying
and neutering any of the cats that came onto her property. She has had fixed more than 45 cats at
her own cost and all of the kittens she has found homes for or have been brought into Pet
Patrol care. For Dori she was in good health when she arrived at Pet Patrol as the woman
had been feeding her in the shop and took good care of her.
Personality:
From her foster mom: Dori is a fluffy cuddle bug. She is shy at first but after a while will come
to you for pets, playtime and treats. She now runs to her foster mom for cuddles and
frankly doesn’t leave her lap for anything. She loves to bunt her head against your arms and
roll around in your lap. Dori is a very quiet cat who occasionally makes a wee meow to let
you know she wants to play but otherwise she has a low purr of happiness to let you know
she feels loved. Dori is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome
her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
