ADOPTION PROFILE

Callie

Callie

Callie

Rescue:

When Callie was first found she was in very poor shape. She was just a kitten, found in a
flower bed (her Pet Patrol name was Blossom) and extremely sick. She was a fighter though,
and with good vet attention and tender loving care from her Pet Patrol care giver she recovered
fully. She became a happy go lucky kitten and was adopted into a good home. Fast
forward almost five years later and we receive a message that Callie needs to be rehomed.
She had been the perfect cat for the woman who had adopted her, but she recently moved and
Callie did not adjust well. Everything possible that could be done for Callie, was done for her,
but still this kitty was not happy. With many tears they relinquished custody to Pet Patrol to
find her another good home.

Personality:

Told by her caregiver: Callie is very affectionate and loves to cuddle (especially when you’re
laying down and she can rest on your chest). Her favourite thing to do is play fetch and she will
do this daily. She acts like a dog sometimes as she follows you wherever you go and will come
when you call her name. She’s a big sleeper and loves resting in spots where she can curl
herself up. She is great with people but frightened of loud noises, so children can be overwhelming
for her. With other pets, she is timid at first but can warm up if the other animals are
easy going. At one point I lived with a roommate who had a dominant and, at times, aggressive
cat, and Callie did not do well with this and never became comfortable with that cat. She
was better with another cat who was relaxed, and she has been good with dogs once she
observes them for a while. She loves back and ear scratches and will make this evident with
her purring. Callie is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her
into the family and keep her safely indoors
