Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a phone call from one of the local spay and neuter clinics. They do a lot
of work in this community and different areas as well, including spay/neuter events in rural
parts of Ontario that don’t have any resources for health care for pets. They serve our
community well by giving low cost healthcare for people who otherwise would not be able to
afford it. The phone call we received one day was about six little kittens, all identical black
ones with beautiful eyes. It was hard to tell them apart. Absolutely adorable. They were in a
situations where they needed to be rescued immediately, the environment for them was
unsafe and they deserved a good start to their life. They were about a two hour drive away
and were in good health. A volunteer offered to bring them into the clinic to be checked over
and from there came into Pet Patrol care. By this time, a week after the initial call, three
had been adopted into good families and the ‘triplets’ went straight to a loving foster home
Personality:
Ophelia has beautiful silky fur, a pretty face and a sweet disposition. She is a quiet and
gentle kitty and seems happy on her own or with another very gentle passive cat. She
enjoys a variety of small cat toys, sparkly ball, plastic spring, sponge ball and toys with a bit
of feathery detail. She is cuddly and will often flop over, belly up for attention when you
approach her. She purrs when picked up and petted. She is a quiet kitty and doesn’t meow
very often, but when she does we need to listen, she definitely is trying to get our attention.
Ophelia is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the
family and keep her safely indoors
