Misty

Rescue:

Pet Patrol was made aware of a mother cat, a teenage kitten and five little kittens about 10
weeks old that were living out in a field. They were searching for food during the day,
grasping at shade under shrubs and always in need of water. One woman had taken it
upon herself to start feeding the cats, putting out fresh water and soon they took up shelter
under her deck. They were at least safer than out in the open. It was one of our new
volunteers that offered to help rescue the cats, with the help of the lady who lived in the
house. A humane trap was put in place and one kitten and the mother cat were rescued the
first morning. That evening two more kittens came in and next morning one little one. Just
one more baby kitten out there and it came into our care soon after that. All the little ones
were timid at first, but it didn’t take long for them to become accustomed to the love and
affection they received from their foster mom. Now Misty and her brother Marcel are ready
for their new home

Personality:

Misty is a pretty little cat with domino polka dots on her muzzle and mouth. We should have
named her Dot. She is an independent little cat who does her own thing, but once on your
lap she will stay for a very long time. She likes to hang out in small spaces and has lots of
night time energy as well. Toys are such fun for her, and she likes things to chase, catnip
mice and anything that dangles. She likes a quiet home and just chilling. Misty is a lovely
little cat who needs people that will have time and patience to help her adjust to the new
environment. She is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome
her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
