ADOPTION PROFILE

Joe

Joe

Joe

Rescue:

Joe was found in the bushes. This is in a neighbourhood near the downtown area of a big
city. There are houses and apartments as well as busy streets, shopping centres and
schoolyards. We may never know where this handsome boy originated from because he
did not have a collar or tag on. He was found when a woman was coming out of her apartment
building and happened to spot him in the bushes. What caught her attention was the
white in his coat and that there was definitely something wrong with his left eye. When she
knelt down and started talking to him Joe perked right up and came out to her. He was
rubbing up against her legs and she easily picked him up. It appeared that he was homeless
and wanting to make sure he was safe; she took him into her apartment. There was no
response to her ‘Found Cat” posters. Joe came in to Pet Patrol care and the vet recommended
removing that injured eye. It was badly scarred and there was no possibility of him
regaining his vision. Joe never missed a beat. He probably hadn’t had vision in that eye for
a while and totally adapted to only looking out his right eye. He has done just fine.

Personality:

This handsome boy is long and lean, muscular and super affectionate. And play! That is his
middle name. Joe will test out every toy, tunnel, box, climber… He wants to see, and be
with, everyone as well. He has a lot of energy and a lot of play so would be a good buddy
for another cat or gentle dog. At the sanctuary he plays with the kittens but is very gentle
and observant of where they are, making sure he does not step on them. Such a good boy.
Joe has quite a calming sense to him, and is good company for when you are relaxing or not
feeling well. He’s an awesome cat. Joe is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One
that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
