ADOPTION PROFILE

Harlequin

Harlequin

Harlequin

Rescue:

Poor Harlequin! It is unknown how she ended up on a woman’s doorstep, but there she was,
looking very thin and disheveled. She was not an outdoor cat, that was made obvious when
she continually tried to get inside the woman’s house. Not just trying to sneak in, or saunter
in confidently, but desperately. Whenever the door opens she’s trying to squeeze her way in
to get from the outside. Harlequin was terrified to be out there. Unfortunately, the woman
had two very large dogs and it was a dangerous situation for the little cat. But still she
wanted some safety even if that meant dodging dogs. The woman continued to feed her and
was happy to see her gain some weight. She was just skin and bones when she first arrived.
Eventually she found a woman who is connected with Pet Patrol, takes in cats herself,
and who offered to bring her to Pet Patrol.

Personality:

Beautiful and elegant, that describes Harlequin. She is so grateful for being indoors where it
is climate controlled, the food dishes are full, the water is fresh and her bed is soft. It seems
like she had those things in her past and being outdoors was completely foreign to her, and
frightening. Now in our care she’s a relaxed cat friendly, calm, gentle and loves her people.
She likes to come up to you and bunt your hand, purring deeply and looking at you with love
in her eyes. She is playful and kind and excellent company. Harlequin is ready to be adopted
into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
