Rescue:
Nyla and her sister Nikita, are pretty little cats who were born in a barn. This is a property
where the people are conscientious about making sure the cats are fed daily and kittens are
brought into the house for safe keeping. The barn houses a few chickens, cattle and a
horse. It is closed up at night to keep wild life out and there are warm areas for the cats to
seek shelter in the winter. This is the best situation for a country living cat, as some are not
able to care for the barn cats and strays that show up. The family is quiet and reserved, so
the home is gentle and reassuring for frightened kittens coming into the house. Nyla and
Nikita have thrived in their care.
Personality:
Nyla is such a quiet and gentle girl. She is very curious, likes to know what’s going on and
what her sister is up to. She coos when she’s playing which is very cute, but is otherwise
very subtle and will wait by your side patiently for attention. She loves toys she can swat at,
chin scratches and chasing her sister Nakita in play. They entertain each other with chasing
tails and games of Hide & Seek. At nap time they cozy up to each other in a puddle of fur
and purr. Both are very loving, calm and happy girls who are very appreciative of affection!
They would do well with older children, other cats and perhaps a passive dog. Nyla is a
very pretty kitten ready to be adopted with her sister Nakita, into their forever home. One
that will welcome them into the family and keep them safely indoors.
