Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a call from an elderly woman who was living on her own. She had noticed
a mother cat and her three kittens outside in her backyard. The kittens were quite
small and frightened of the big wild world out there. But the mom kept them safe underneath
the garden shed, only allowing them out to play at dawn and dusk. The woman called Pet
Patrol at that time and we arranged to provide her with a humane trap so that she could set
it up and rescue the kittens. One of our volunteers who lives close to her offered to help. But
as time went on and no kittens were brought into our care, the woman confided that the
mother cat had disappeared and within a few days so did the little ones. She kept a lookout
and two weeks later we received a call that one kitten had returned. It was on the back
deck looking for food. Seeing this the woman quickly put a dish of kibble out and it ate
ravenously. Baby number two and baby number three soon followed and they were all
brought into Pet Patrol care.
Personality:
Gibbons is the only boy in the litter. He is so playful! If the wand toy is picked up he will
hear it, even if in a deep sleep, and come running to play with it. He is so excited with his
toys and will occupy himself with them for a good amount of time. More than likely his sister
Gia will join him in playing and cuddling too. They are quite the pair. Gibbons is quick to
purr when pet and enjoys the attention of his foster home family. He is a wonderful kitten
who is affectionate and likes to be cuddled. Gibbons is ready to be adopted into his forever
home with his sister Gia. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely
indoors.
