Saffron

Rescue:

A woman who lives on a country property, on the main road, in a small village is used to
having cats migrate to her property. She lives kitty corner to a farm that is overrun with cats.
When you look at this property from the road, all you see is the house and the barn. But as
you move further behind those buildings you see a sea of abandoned trailers, dumpsters,
sheds and scrap metal. There are lots of places for cats and rodents to find shelter and to
keep out of the weather except in the winter time. Then they migrate into the horse stable.
There is an abundance of cats because none have ever been spayed or neutered, or considered
worthy either. When the female cats are due to have their kittens they make their
way across the field and through a small wooded area to the woman’s chicken coop or
shop. As in the case of Shima (Saffron’s mom), the friendliest one the woman has ever had
migrate to her place, who was able to have her kittens in a comfortable bed in a safe environment.
Once the kittens reached six weeks of age they were all brought to Pet Patrol.
Now they are happy and healthy kittens, friendly and ready for adoption.

Personality:

When you look into her mischievous golden eyes, you’ll understand where Saffron’s name
comes from. The smallest in her litter, she doesn’t let her petite size hold her back from
living her best life. Saffron’s bigger siblings have learned not to challenge her because she
always gets what she wants. Saffron is a confident explorer and loves to attack her little
mousie toy. She also has a mellow side and is learning to love belly rubs and toe bean
squeezes. She is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her in
the family and keep her safely indoors.
