Rescue:
Gwen was one of many barn kittens where the woman was trying to keep her cat colony
controlled through spaying and neutering all the barn cats. She, herself has had several
back surgeries and now unfortunately is walking bent over and struggling to care for the
cats and her 90 something year old mother. A neighbour had been feeding the cats for her,
but also taking the kittens without her knowledge and selling them. They were not vet
checked or vaccinated and he was making a bit of pocket change out of a sad situation.
The woman was not happy about this and asked for assistance from Pet Patrol in rescuing
the kittens and finding them proper homes. Gwen was far too young to be taken from her
mother, but she has become a happy and healthy kitten now.
Personality:
Gwen first came into our care as a timid cat, and unsure of what these new people in her
life were all about. But she is much more outgoing now. She loves to play a lot and would
probably play all day if she could. She’s very adventurous and will explore anything new.
Gwen is very snuggly and likes to be held and carried around. She learned pretty quickly
how to seek out people attention for a nice scratch and rewards you with a sweet purr. She
is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and
keep her safely indoors.
