Rescue:
A family had just moved into their new house in December and were busy putting things
away and making it their own. They had a lot of boxes stored in the garage until they could
organize the furniture and finally put everything away. One day when the woman opened
the door from the house into the garage she caught a glimpse of a little cat scooting across
floor. It disappeared behind a stack of chairs and a few suitcases. Startled, she wondered
where the cat came from, then realized it had squeezed underneath the mostly closed garage
door. Eventually they heard the mews of tiny kittens and saw momma Cricket scramble
up the shelves to a small hole in the ceiling. She had given birth to a litter of kittens up
there (Taro, Tetley Timothy and Tiny). Once the babies reached six weeks of age, they
were found running around the garage having fun, and that is when the couple began feeding
them. A few weeks later they brought Cricket into Pet Patrol care and the kittens a little
while later. All are safe and sound now.
Personality:
Taro is a nice little kitty who will purr very loudly when he is wanting to be cuddled, and will
climb all over you for the attention. He’s even started rolling over for a tummy tickle. He is
quite creative in his play and will find anything to amuse himself with by batting it around. It
could be toys, a shoe lace or a bit of fluff. He is the great explorer, wanting to see every
corner of the house and will sometimes try to sneak into a room that he shouldn’t go into
because he just wants to see what’s there. Taro is ready to be adopted into his forever
home with his sister Tiny. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them safely
indoors
