ADOPTION PROFILE

Frederick

Frederick

Rescue:

Francis and Frederick are lucky to be alive. They were found at three weeks old, under some
dense bushes and there was no sign at all of their mother. Being in such a vulnerable environment,
they were at great risk of becoming prey, and you could see that their mother had
absolutely no safe place for them to be born in. She had been observed going in and out of
the shrubs, but one day she just did not return. The woman that found them could not bear
to see them suffer, they were so hungry and she took them inside. They have been in their
rescue/foster home since they could fit in your hand. Both were bottle fed which means their
attachment to people is closer than your average kitty. They are very comfortable being
handled, cradled and picked up.

Personality:

Frederick is a happy go lucky boy, and considered the calmer brother of the two, but don’t let
his demeanor fool you. He is ready to run, wrestle and chase down toys. When given wet
food he is not one to share, and will cover the food with his paw to prevent Francis from
getting to it. An advanced tactic and intelligence for a young kitten. Frankie has no trouble
finding a way to entertain himself and has been found excitedly playing with cat wands that
are just lying there. He also trills and squeals while playing with his brother. When he hasn’t
seen you for a while he will crawl up into your arms to say hello and cuddle on your lap.
Often, he will share the affection with Francis and they can be found piled into a kitty bed
grooming each other and purring deeply. Frederick is ready to be adopted into his forever
home with his brother Francis. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them
safely indoors.
