Rescue:
There is a woman who lives in a small town on the outskirts of the big city. She has a nice
little house on the highway that has a good sized lot, work shop and a chicken coop. She
has lived there her entire life. Kitty corner to her property is a farm that has the house and
horse stables at the very front of the property, off a short side road. You can’t see back
past the stable, but there is at least five acres of just stuff. Trailers, storage containers, old
vehicles and skids piled precariously and a lot of uncared for cats. There are plenty of
places for them to give birth, but many migrate to the woman’s property, the chicken coop
specifically. It is safer, serene and the cats are fed there. The people who own the farm
property have no consideration for the cats and don’t really want to be bothered with them.
So, it has been a one woman show to take care of the over population of cats so that they
are healthier and that there are less unwanted kittens. She has rescued over sixty adult
cats and had them spayed or neutered and rescued hundreds of kittens. Benny and
Bunny were two of the lucky ones to find refuge in her work shop and to be socialized and
they are now ready for their new home.
Personality:
Benny and Bunny are very sweet little cats. They both love having their bellies rubbed, ear
scratches and head rubs. Benny is quite easy going, sweet and will come to you for attention.
Bunny is a bit more cautious but both are able to be picked up, cuddled and coo’d
too. Like most little kittens they can find great adventure in a cardboard box with peekaboo
holes. Happy to play, and nap in there as well. Both Benny and Bunny would like to be
adopted together in their forever home. One that will welcome them into the family and
keep them safely indoors
