Rescue:

A woman who had done some cat rescue in the past, and brought some lovely felines to
Pet patrol, called us about a new situation. She had been contacted by a lady who lives
outside of the city who had a couple of female cats, and they had both given birth to a litter
of kittens outside. It is a common occurrence in this area to have cats dumped because
they are unwanted pets. This particular mother cat, Layla, was very friendly and was obviously
someone’s pet cat at some point. The lady could not afford all the cats that were
there, and decided to re home some. Once she ran out of friends and family, she began
asking people who might do rescue and eventually found Pet Patrol. We were happy to
bring in Layla and her four kittens from this location. All are lovely and happy.

Personality:

Layla is one of the sweetest and most loving cats you’ll ever meet. She is very comfortable
with being cuddled, scratched, and wants the attention and affection from her people.
Initially she took her time getting to know her new environment at her foster home, but
once comfortable she was stretched out on the couch or laying in the sunbeam from the
window. She’s a calm girl who didn’t care much for toys in the beginning, but once her
kittens were adopted, she took over the toy box. Seeing how attached she is to her kitten
Leo, it would be nice for Layla to be adopted into her forever home with him. One that will
welcome them into the family and keep them safely indoors
