Pepper

Rescue:

Pepper and her brother Pancake were born outside to a friendly mother cat, who unfortunately,
was never brought inside for care. She came to the same house every day, laid on
their porch and sunned herself. She was fed, had a cat shelter and people who pet her and
greeted her with smiles. She had a litter of three little grey kittens at the nearby mill. She
was pretty smart in protecting them from predators as the opening to her den was under a
set of stairs. It was just big enough to get her head through, went in deep and farther than
the eye could see. Once the kittens reached five weeks of age they followed her to the
porch to be fed and fawned over. By now the family had been contacted by a Pet Patrol
volunteer and they agreed that they should be rescued.

Personality:

Pepper is quite a lovely little kitten and very affectionate. It took a bit of loving to get her to
purr and it was a delight for her caregivers the first time she meowed. So cute. She is super
playful and very affectionate. Pancake is pretty attached to his sister and was not looking
at people for attention, but he watched her and was a quick learner. His meow is quite loud
and he lets you know when he wants something, mostly it is love and attention now, or
treats! He is very playful and the two kittens can get into quite a game of Chase and Hide
& Seek. They are fun to watch. Pepper and Pancake are ready to be adopted into their
forever home. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them safely indoors.
