Rescue:
Such a cute little kitten and such a sad start to her life. We will never know exactly where
Bao originally came from, or how her life with her mother, soft and warm, changed so
dramatically, but at least she was rescued. She was found at a garage which is attached
to a wrecking yard. There are a lot of feral cats there, hiding amongst the carcasses of old
cars and trucks. They take shelter in back seats, under storage units and inside anything
that will provide them with relief from the weather. These cats are not tamed, and they are
very frightened of people. One day a worker found Bao wandering around confused and
covered in muck and oil. She was in terrible shape and he brought her to the office. Bao
was so tiny and she didn’t have any strength to struggle. The office manager contacted Pet
Patrol and she was brought into care. Not only was she filthy but she was really hot from
heat stroke. With some TLC she came around and did much better.
Personality:
Bao has come a long way from that day. She is healthy, active, playful and full of love.
She is a pretty little kitten, with beautiful Siamese like markings. Adorable. She is quite
cuddly as well, doesn’t mind being picked up and is happy to lay on your lap. Toys were a
new thing for her, she had never seen anything like them before. Being an adventurous
cat she was soon investigating them and chasing the crinkle balls around. Bao is ready to
be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her
safely indoors.
