Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a call from a family that was in need of re homing their beloved cat
Mittens. They didn’t want to let him go, but they had no choice. They were renting one of
two apartments in a home and Mittens came to them after the previous tenant of the other
apartment moved out. Her habit had been to keep the cats until they were no longer kittens and
then throw them outside, winter or summer, it didn’t matter. In conversation with her one
day, and understanding that she was going to be moving, they realized she had no intention
of taking Mittens with her. Not wanting to see this happen to him the family took in Mittens
and everyone was happy. However, they did not tell their landlord and a new tenant moved
into the other apartment. The family had severe allergies to cats and Mittens had to go
because they were having a lot of breathing issues. It broke their heart because Mittens is
such a great cat
Personality:
Having lived in different homes and been exposed to children of all ages, and dogs as well, Mittens
has adapted easily to all of them. He is a pretty chill cat, and really enjoys being with people.
He likes to hang out while you are on the computer, watching TV and does his bedtime
rounds to make sure everyone is OK. he is a lap cat, playful and attentive. Such good
company. Mittens is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him
into the family and keep him safely indoors
