One of Pet Patrol’s long time volunteers lives in a farm house on a property that is quite remote. It is described as out in the boonies. You can’t see the neighbours from any vantage point around the house, you have to drive there. The house and barn are on a gravel road that is rarely plowed in the winter and is not traveled very often except by people who live there or their visitors. Over the past few years she has rescued many cats and some found felines have come to Pet Patrol. One nice early summer’s day, while her daughter and grandchildren were visiting, she heard loud squeals of delight coming from outside. The children had been running up and down the lane way and had spotted something moving in the long grass. It was easy to spot because it was so dark in colour and the grass was a fresh green colour. It was Timmy and Tabitha, two kittens all on their own, skittishly running and trying to hide. It took no time at all, once our experienced volunteer saw them, to gather up these little ones and bring them into safety. They proved to be very friendly right away and so relieved to be rescued. There was no mother cat, no other kittens and no way they could have hiked it from the neighbours barn to this lane. They were abandoned.

Timmy and his sister Tabitha are two peas in a pod. They are sweet and gentle, playful and active. They want nothing more than to run around and play, or be picked up and cuddled by their people. Both like to be held and carried around, are definitely lap cats, and enjoy spending time with their people both for affection and play time. They are like all kittens and are quite investigative and busy, checking out everything from boxes and paper bags, to kitty climbers and little cubbies. Timmy and Tabitha would like to be adopted together into their forever home. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them safely indoors.
