Suzie started coming around a wildlife rescue location a little more than a year ago. She was not fully grown at the time. She was with a neighbourhood cat that the woman had been supporting for sometime, and his name is Stevie. The two cats became inseparable. If she saw one then the other was not too far behind. They would groom each other and snuggle together in the insulated outdoor cat house. Stevie being feral was untouchable, but Suzie was easier to befriend. She started to brush up against the woman’s legs. Then allowed her to pet her and then a happy and contented purr would begin. One day Suzie arrived at the feeding station with a cold, both eyes were watering she was quite lethargic. The woman was able to pick her up, took her inside the house and got treatment for her cold. Suzie recovered beautifully, gained weight and confidence as well. She socialized up quickly while indoors and it became clear that she needed to find a forever family rather than go outside again. Sorry Stevie! Her rescuer would have loved to keep her but already has five indoor cats, Stevie outside and many wildlife patients.

Suzie is a lovely cat and laps up all the attention. She likes to rub up against you and purr, doesn’t mind being picked up and is gentle and sweet. She is still learning about toys, watching the other foster kitties play and seeing the fun they have. A bit shy at first, she needs someone to take their time with her, gain her trust and provide a loving home. She is interested in watching the birds and squirrels outside, but is not interested in being out there. Suzie is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
