Rescue:

Queenie was rescued from a farm that she had wandered into. She was thin and quite sick, she tried to eat and to keep up with the other cats there but she just couldn’t. Knowing that she was also pregnant, the owners of the property were quite worried about her. A sick mother cat giving birth to kittens puts the little ones in serious jeopardy of contracting her illness and not surviving. The strain of the pregnancy and birth could cause the mother cat to suffer and pass away as well. This was a no win situation. This farmer knew of a woman who rescued cats and he asked her for some advise. Once hearing the complications of the situation she offered to take in Queenie, not knowing if she was friendly or feral. Soon after that she contacted Pet Patrol as Queenie’s gums were pale and she had upper respiratory infection – she needed to be seen by a vet right away. Instead of bringing the cat to the Pet Patrol sanctuary, she was taken directly to the vet clinic and put on IV fluids and good medication. Queenie showed us that she was a very sweet and affectionate little cat, she recovered beautifully from her cold and has never looked back. Five days after being released from the vet she gave birth to five little kittens : Qeely, Qeira, Qorbin, Qirby and Qoby.

Personality:

Queenie is a dear little cat. She is quiet and affectionate, loves her people and is kitten like in her play as well. She likes her perch in the window, toys that she can swat at or chase and is good with other gentle and playful cats. She is not a big cat by any means, and has small little feet and a cute nose. She is adorable. Queenie has shown us her loving personality, and she is very good company for her people. She is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
