Rescue
Pet Patrol cats are not kept in cages or kennels, they are fostered in homes with adults and families, some with other pets, some without. One of our foster parents, who had taken care of a number of kittens over this past year was visiting family in a small town north of the city. She heard from her mother-in-law about five kittens that were found on the property. When she first saw them she immediately noticed that they were clean, their paws were not dirty, they did not have any illness and were friendly. These cats were born in a home and were dumped in the country. This is a very sad and desperate reality. It turns your stomach to think what would have happened to them if no one was home to rescue them. If they had run in the wrong direction, away from the house. If a fox or coyote had found them first. If they had run in fear in front of a fast moving car. So many terrible things could have happened to them, but they are the lucky ones who came upon people who care, and who took responsibility immediately.

Personality
Phoebe is a sweet little cat. gentle, loving and cuddly. She does not hesitate to come to people for affection and can be picked up and carried around easily. Like all young cats she is curious and wants to know what is new, what is behind there, in there, up there and under there. Not much is missed. She likes to sit in the window and watch what is happening outside. The squirrels and people passing by are entertainment, and the aquarium is like kitty TV. She sits pretty when it is time for treats in the kitchen, quietly waiting. This little kitty is ready to be adopted into a loving and gentle home. One that will keep her safely indoors and welcome her as part of the family.
