Rescue
Nash has such a sad story. One of our volunteers helps to feed a colony of cats, just on the out skirts of the city. It is a busy place, there is a highway nearby, a barn and a tourist attraction. For some reason people think it is a great idea to take their unwanted, unneutered cats out there and dump them. There is nothing there. No shelter, no water, no protection. These poor cats, who have lived inside all their lives, had a cushy couch, food a plenty and people to take care of them, find themselves stranded. If it were not for the efforts of kind people, who go out of their way to feed the cats, then poor Nash and many, many others would perish in a heartless world. Nash was obviously out of his element when first spotted. The other cats would chase him off, keeping him away from the food, striking out at him and starting all out brawls. He lost a lot of weight. A separate dish was set out for him, but it took a while for him to come out of hiding and actually be able to eat his fill. He is safe and sound now.

Personality
Nash is a very handsome cat. He has beautiful markings, a kind face and a gentle heart. He loves the little kittens in his foster home, is quite smitten with other cats and can often be found cuddled up with them. Over all he is happy and content in his foster home, prefering an easy going home. He enjoys sitting in the window, taking in the activites of the neighbours, birds at the feeder and antics of the squirrels. He likes to play with catnip toys, balls as they roll across the floor and things that dangle. Nash is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
